A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

If available for you bike, get the DJ kit. Save your hair.
Not available...just orderd new jets. just check tracking will be here thursday...went with 127.5s...Two questions for you tho maybe you can answer....ONE where can i find a new baffle for my VH? Idiot PO cut it...and TWO..wheres the best place to get GOOD pods? These Emgos are old and crappy, and i want good ones...
It's the jet needle that is the important component in the DJ kit. Maybe you can buy just that, or go with the DJ kit for the 1000.
I think you can get the baffle from somewhere like denniskirk.com Or maybe call V&H directly and see if they will sell you one. As for the pods.... shop around. I bought mine from denniskirk, but I have since seen them cheaper on ebay. Go with the K&N's. And if you do get K&N's, don't bother setting up your carbs until you get them.... if you dial in your carbs now for the emgos, you'll be dialing them in again for the K&N's because they move more air than the emgos.
My needle is adjustable via the clip...VMs not CVs..
Already there...lol he advised me on the bigger jets, and to move my clip on the stock needle to 4 from the top instead of the stock possition. Ive found an intake leak on my number one boot, and the jets and rings are on their way...we'll find out soon enough i guess...You have VMs on that 1000?? i didnt pay attn...if so what size/model K&N did you order? Nevermind...found em...lolMy stock needle was adjustable, too, and so is the needle in the DJ kit. It's the taper on the DJ needle that is different and seems to make the difference when going with pods and pipe. Many have tried to dial in their stock carbs using the stock parts and have ended up pulling their hair out. I'm not saying it can't be done, but there will probably be alot of trial and error. The best help you will get will be with the advise from KeithKrause. He's the VM GOD.

yeah i was just about to ask, looking at your photobucket stuff...what did you use to clean that thing?? It looks AWESOME...
dude608,
When going to pods you usually always need to re-jet. The easiest way is to buy a Dynojet kit if it is available for your model. If a kit is not available, ask for help here on the GSR.
Hi,
Ms. SqDancerLynn1 pointed out motorcyclecarbs.com in another thread and this particular page is full of "rule of thumb" jetting guidelines that may come in handy as a reference for us novice carb mechanics.
Thank you for your indulgence,
