A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I have just finished up with an everlasting project, an 83 GPz 750. It is fairly modified, progressive springs up front, GSXR rear shock, ss brake lines, kerker pipe, K&N pods, 810 wiseco kit, milled head, degreed cam, etc.
I am a fairly long time member of GSR, contributor to technical threads, etc. However, I don't want to offend hard-core Suzy folk.

I'd love to see it. Maybe put your thread in Off Topic? Not sure.

Yes...put it here please...

I hesitate to use off topic for any motorcycle stuff, as it can get lost in there.

I've long been an advocate for a "general motorcycle" area....we do talk a lot about other brands...:)

Okay so question: the "I could care less..." part. Shouldn't it be "I couldn't care less..."?

Hell yes you'd better post it up! I've been waiting to see the end result since I picked the KZ750 up from you in.......2008?

It'll be fun in Brown County. I'm riding the 700ES this year, so we'll have two mid-sized monoshocks at the rally.

Arch enemies on the Superbike tracks back in the day, too.

That is a good question, Ed. The truth is either is acceptable, and as a grammarian I do have a tendency to use the more arcane verbage just to exercise my English and keep it from going stale. Although bwringer uses occasional words that drive me to the booktionairy to ascertain their meaning. ;)

Here's Wes on "my" bike during the '84 season (he spent one year, 1983, with Kawasaki):

And here's the 1983 champion, Wayne Rainey, on "your" bike:

So let's see it George.

I think you should post it, but not here in projects. I enjoy looking at alot of different brands, however this is a Suzuki GS site. I suggest posting in off topic. If you feel it gets lost there, then post on a Kawasaki site. Please don't take offense, just respect the core of this site. I would be uncomfortable posting one of my Suzuki's on a Kawasaki site under projects.

Yes, it's a site for Suzuki GS, but it's about the bikes and their owners.

If it's a project that a GS owner has been working on, why not post it in 'our' project forum?

If you were a long-time member of the Kawaski forum as Koolaid-Kid is here, it's still about the owners, as well as the bikes.

Just my opinion (to which you are certainly entitled). :p

OK, Kid, you left out one very important option:

__ OK, let's see the bike, unless it's RED.

.

I say go for it, after all, we have projets of work sheds, bike lifts an who knows what all here, kool aid kid has been a long standing member of this forum and has helped plenty folk along the way.
And the members of this site are practicaly a family, show me another site where most members are refered to by thier real names as opposed to thier taglines, sems to be the norm here, it shows a bond like none I have seen elswhere.

Anyway, I don't know what the fuss is all about, you go right ahead and show us your GSX rear shock project. ;)

I apologize. I thought I was on "The GS Resources" site. Welcome to "The everyone knows my real name bike owners project" site! Please post some pics of anything remotely related to motorcycles. Thanks for the laughs!

Actually, it has a Suzuki rear shock on it. A fine quality unit from what I can tell. Does that count?;)

really...i mean seriously....you guys arent gonna let him post it because its not a GS wtf. let hem post it and you might learn something interesting ya know broden your horizons

Uncalled for

I'm in the camp that says "I'd really like to see your bike!"
I would also like to see a catagory in the technical forum section for "other brands" or perhaps "Non -GS bikes". There's a lot of motorcycle knowledge here and, with a few exceptions, a generally adult attitude.

I have 5 bike and only one is a GS within the years for this forum.

So, if you want to show your poor taste in bikes by posting your Kawi, I say 'go for it!' :p:D
