    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Looks and sounds a bit rich..glad i got rid of that pipe myself..was a friggin headache maker. Gald you got use of it.

Too early to tell. Actually, the plugs look good for what little time I ran it. I used Sudco's baseline settings for a GS1100, but I am at 5200 ft. so probably a little rich...but maybe not with the mods. Plus I haven't even touched an air screw or synched. Better to be rich than lean, especially during it's break-in period.
 
Roger that!! I wouldnt worry about fine tuning it down a notch till at least the first 750 or so are on the clocks. Give the rings and valves time to settle in comfortably. I prefer just a tad rich myself..always worried about frying a valve under a too lean condition..

Dont say that!! Barney may ask you why you didnt stop and pick it up if you knew it fell, out and write you a littering ticket as well. When it comes to cops..less is more in your favor!!

I guess it depends on how many Harley's run around your neck of the woods. Up here in WNY I ran an open V+H for years and never got pulled over for that particular violation. Whichever way you decide, that is a sweet ride.

LOTS of Harleys here. We have Street Vibrations, which is the 4th largest Harley gathering in the U.S. The cops "turn a deaf ear" to most everything during that event because of the revenue it brings.

I'll eventually get some kind of baffle made up for the pipe, or have something made like russer did.
 
Well I got the leaks fixed, carbs synched, and ready to put the tank and body parts back on a go for a ride! Got the fuel sending unit installed, put the stock petcock back on and carefully started puting the tank back on the frame. Guess what? The stock petcock hits the VM33's and can't be used. :confused: No one ever told me that, nor have I ever seen that mentioned anywhere. Oh, well. No riding for me. :mad:
 
Can you remove the inner rubber washer and allow the tank to be moved up in the back just abit to accommadate the differences? And maybe add abit more cushion on top of the tank pad thats on toip of the frame back by the bolt mount??

How rich? Dont want to wash the bores during run in. Thats the last thing you need.
