A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

A brief recap

A brief recap

Here is a brief recap for those who don't want to go through 42 pages:D
2010_06180001.jpg

The local bike salvage had 4 GS750's for sale.1 85EF and 3 83's,an E and 2ES.$800 for all 4.
2010_06190001.jpg

The 85 had papers and the 83's didn't so the older ones became parts for me and others.
2010_06190009.jpg

They where bought as non runners so imagine my surprise when I popped the tank of and this happened,Bad petcock:rolleyes:

And where we are today.Had a real compliment today. Was going down the street coming to a stop light.Teen on a bicycle turns and looks a us and says "Cool bike".

did the teen also ask if the bike was NEW ? cos it sure looks that way! great job !

Had a couple of people at work think I had a new bike. Not bad for a junk yard dog. Could have been another name for this project.

Sure looks great! Well done.

Have you thought about filling those lines/channels on the fender in with black? Could be a nice accent.

Thanks Mike, actually I was thinking if doing the ones on the side covers red.Now that you mention it I may do those red to.Since this is an "On the road" thread that is what I did today.

Guess I didn't break any monitors then:DYeah they're red all right.Yes I have seen that user name Allen, good thing I had mine picked out before.I'm kind of liking the yellow gills.Had a funny thing about keeping my real name off here, kind of silly.

Sold what was to be my wife's 400S leaving me with nothing to do this winter:(So I've been on the hunt for one.Went to see this today http://victoria.en.craigslist.ca/mcy/2387524431.html .He had people give him insulting offers,I told him I wasn't going to bother. He phoned me later to see what I would offer, told him $300.I could see potential the but just a little to much work.Emailed my friend AZR33 about it.Seems he has picked up a 80 GS1000G and has this
