A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Where at Kenco to pick up a darker flip screen I ordered for the EXO500 .The wife asked if Ken could get the K&S repro signals I've had my eye on at Part N' More. The answer is yes he can at a very good price to:dancing:Saves us a TON of hassles.Thirty plus years of UV does a number on the rubber pieces on them.Doubt I could find a a used set in any decent condition for less.

Went this morning for some beauty shots.

Can't imagine why I need new ones.

Could have gotten the longer stocked ones but....

I think these shorter versions look WAY better!

They definitely do. Guess it's time for the first aesthetic upgrade on my 1150!

These J&S repro's really are quite good, slotted right into the OEM spots and the wires where long enough to fit.Happy we could get them.Have the fronts to,just have to wait for the next payday to get them:)

Sure do;)
Did a valve adjust.Tried it the way it says in the manual,it's WAY better than what I was doing.I forgot to post it here but I took the instrument pod off,got all the guts out.Fiddled with the tach and it works now.Putting it back together I did this

Have had a small oil leak for a while, just a few drips every ride.Till I got it back on the road,it started dripping a lot more(by my standards).I thought it was the gear indicator sensor. No it turned out to be the clutch push rod seal.Looked it up in the Parts Outlaw fiche and said to my self "That's what that thing is".Searched a bit and found it,fortunately it was better than the one in the bike.Put it in and when for a good tear(by my standards) with a friend. Not one drop:dancing:

The old seal I put in leaked as bad as the one in the bike.Ordered a new one from the closest stealership, wasn't even to badly priced.Thought I might need a new stator cover gasket to as I have a leak there to.Looked at bottom bolt to see it wasn't clamping down:-k Pull it out and it's WAY to long:oops:Slipped a shorter one in,hoping my leaks are done.

A lesson on why you need to take brake parts apart and clean them.My rear brake was coming on without me pushing the pedal.Wasn't obvious what was happening at first but it was gradually it got worse,to the point I couldn't push the bike myself.Could go back a bit later and all would be good.Took off the MC and once I removed the reservoir port I seen the problem.A blob of stuff was sitting over the return port.It was fluid enough to clog it intermittently:rolleyes:The circlip on that MC was to rusted to come out so I pulled one out of the stash, took it apart and put it in the ultrasonic for a cycle.Got my instrument glass from Joe Whellan to:dancing:On oil leaks either.

I got some extra discs for the Supertrapp,CMSS had 6 at a good price and very reasonable shipping.Put all 6 in and it's just a little loud but the trade off is it really fells alot more uncorked with 15 discs.

Been thinking about redoing the paint again, the right side and nose of the fairing are bubbling up badly. My prep work wasn't good enough:oSo I'm thinking I might go back to yellow or maybe orange as the wife HATES orange:devilish:

I did the same to mine....but I just got a piece of plexiglass from HomeDepot cut it to size and it's all good once again

Got a used one off Joe Whellan last fall,It's all good now and I have a frame to do what you did;)

Under the ride I should NOT have tried today:concern:From front to back:

My first clue I should not have been trying to ride was scrapping frost off my seat. The second was the bike that always starts up real nice didn't,had a heck of a time keeping her lit.The third was me lying on my back after going over the cattle guard(there in a vain attempt to keep deer out of the park)watching my bike slide down the driveway. It was time for a repaint anyway as the red and black had developed a bad case of lumpy paint:eek:Bike commuting has ended for the year:(

Ouch Greg, that sucks! Still, at least you have the incentive for that new paint now

Frost on the seat would send me scrambling for the truck keys.
Tough luck, Greg.
I am assuming the deer have the cattle guard solved?

Yeah it was a kinda stupid thing to happen. Not exactly unpredictable given the conditions:mad:Have a new paint poll going to http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?236540-Another-SVSooke-what-to-paint-my-750-poll .

My wife had plans for the day with the truck, she was expecting me in to.My car is having issues so that was out. It's the time of year here when if it's clear the temps go past freezing especially at 4 am when I head to work.I know that but thought it would be OK.
Yeah the giant forest rats have figured ways past the guard:-#

Well she's back to running rat:DHad most of the bodywork off but it seems like I'm just to into the GPz to do the repaint now.The plan now is to get the GPz finished and ride-able then get to the GS.Was just missing to much riding weather.
