A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I do things right, I knew it would eventually go so I'll do it all the same time. Got a Electrosport stator, heard they're alot better then the regulators

You heard correctly. Their R/R's are not good at all. I have one of their Stators on my bike and it's been fine for years.

14 gauge inline fuse should be good?
I just got ahold of a 775 a few months ago but didnt even get to doing this swap out yet.

and for a stator, would a 21-302 from Ricks slap in?

soo after spending quite a few hrs, not all in one day but actually a few months doing some research on exactly how to wire the Polaris R/R up, I got it figured out.
But not totally sure I got it 100% right. I used the Triumph wiring harness, the bigger wires from the Pos and the Neg go into 2 smaller wires further down onto the smaller connectors. Now, I only use 1 of the positive wires, instead of 2, would that be an issue?

I got 13.6-13.8 at idle, and doesnt really get much higher than 14.3-14.4 around 5k

that sounds good... hopefully you opted for the single point grounding scheme to ensure the r/r sees the battery nicely.

I was just hoping to see a little more, but if thats ok, I guess thats ok to me.
Earlier I took it out to get some fresh gas, I left the side covers off to stop and check to make sure everything is ok. As I was riding, country backroad, I smelled something burning, I never shut off something so fast before, hopped off started feeling everything and smelling around, everything seemed ok, I turned around and seen the residence a few houses back was having a little fire, phew!

I put the R/R ground to the Neg side of the mounting bolt.
I don't believe I did anything to the headlight loop though, so that could be a big help to. Would I have to lift the tank to get to it?
