A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

unbelievable

unbelievable

Is that really possible? A 1983 Suzuki that is brand new with ZERO miles. Never sold, never titled...says it still has the factory warranty. I would think Suzuki would want to buy it as a museum piece.

Am I wrong...do dealers out there somewhere still have early '80s machines that were never uncrated?

Of course, at $11,600 the reserve is still not met, so evidently the guys selling it don't plan to give it away.

Still, pretty amazing.

This bike has been up oodles of times. He wants way too much for it and it always tops out around 12K. He's had it since new, dealer purchase, and thinks it's worth 30K or something like that.

One of these days he will probably take the high bid and sell it. If after so many listings he should realize what it is really worth,

These are neat bikes but their scarcity makes them museum pieces, not riders. From a performance standpoint the 1100 and 1000 cc bikes out do it.

A zero mile Kat would fetch a lot more, and a few have. There was a 1000 Kat with 0 miles that got 15 grand or so.

The problem with a bike like that, is that once you ride it, it's value goes WAY down and I RIDE MY BIKES. Sooooooo, to make a long story short, I can get a Hyabusa or ZX12 cheaper, which are far more motorcycle than that.

The guy is a moron & I hope ebay charges him 100 bucks every time he lists it & it doesn't sell! I'm tired of seeing the thing & it continually being posted here. Ray.

oh THAT turd burglar. We all get it. that it's rare as hens teeth. But honestly, there's a reason you don't see bikes like that. Even new now. And for what must be asking, there are at least 6 bikes I could own. Imagine if I posted to wanted on here " I have like 15 grand to blow, do you guys think you could pool up 6 good bikes to buy?"

i've seen the bike. Nice bike but only a collector would buy it for that price and there don't seem to be many collectors around here.

Sorry guys, didn't know it had already been posted to death..

Let's see, I could get a BSA Lightning, a Norton Commando, and still have enough money left to build a CB 750 Cafe bike...

Nuts

Nuts

It's definately cool. however, I wouldn't want to buy it and then worry about ruining it by riding it. I believe the reserve is near 20K!
Good luck to them!
:o

I'd ride the heck out of it, it's no different than driving any new vehicle off the lot, you lose about half the value instantly.

It's just that I could buy a far better motorcycle for the money.

Aprillia......

I think if I had some stupid amount of money, I'd buy it just to (in total agreement with Tom) ride the shizzit out of it. No motorcycle deserves to go unloved and unridden for so long...

For $1000.00....

For $1000.00....

...I got my GS1000(L). I bought it off of a little old lady(she rode it). Yes, really!
