A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hi everyone. I decided to rebuild my motor over the winter. bought a new to me head and had a valve job done new seals had the valve guides checked, this is in tip top shape! When I split the cases I found that I needed to buy a new crank because mine was so grooved up the machine shop said I couldnt regrind it and get bearings to fit. Anyway I got an excellent crank for only $50 (L11-12R)---ABAAAA. My machine shop gingerly polished it up. I'm very pleased with it. My question is about the oil jets in the transmission journals, I boggered the end up on the one with the smaller holes (left side) At the time they appeared to be the same so I ordered a new one. on further inspection I noticed the holes were different sizes and I had ordered the wrong one. My question is con I put in the new one I bought in place of the one I messed up or will it affect oil pressure or something? If the answer is no I cant then what about reusing the one with the boggered end? When I say boggered up I mean nothing is messed up below the oring, I just broke an ear off trying to get it out. I replaced all the orings in all the jets, even the 4 that are on the main journals. every one of my jets were clogged up by the way! Anyway, If someone could give me advice on my oil jet problem I sure would appricate it. Thanks, Helmut. PS. Im taking lots of pictures of my build and will post soon

I'm not exactly following you about ears on the oil jets but whatever, I'd get the proper parts.

Oh, and just a reminder that OEM gaskets are best.

When I say ear I mean that the jet is slotted on top, rather a deep slot and one side got broken off due to me prying on it. (I should have used a easyout) But like I said, nothing is wrong with it below the oring. how do I post a picture along with my reply???

Here is what I'm talking about...
