I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I've posted a bits and pieces here and there but thought I'd put it all in one place. My 82 GS750 had to sit out over last winter due to a storage snafu. She wasn't to happy about that so to make it up to her, I decided to give her a sprucing up.

Now, a lot of this I'm not doing myself as I have friends who owe me favors.

I'll put up pics this evening of what's been done so far.

Here's what I've got working:

New Pit Replica Seat Cover. I took apart the seat, sanded and rustoleum'ed the seat pan. Got the cover back and put it on. Looks great!

New paint, I posted about this elsewhere but man the pictures don't do it justice. Lexus Ultrasonic Blue Metallic with a white stripe. Robby, did a great job, he put about 40 hours into it prep and paint. 4 coats of color, 4 coats of clear, then sanded the stripe area, laid the stripe in and another 4 coats of clear so that you can't feel the stripe at all, it's like glass.

New electrical system, my harley expert is having fun with this! He just got all the wiring fixed from the PO's bodges. I've gone from a 2.5 voltage drop to .002!

That should fix a LOT of issues:) He also fixed all the open wires, hot wires sitting out for no apparent reason, and the accessory wire that was running hot and zip tied to the frame- he thinks it was for a home made heating vest:eek:

The Eastern Beaver fusebox is a dream to work on, with the new relays and such, my electrical system should be pretty much bulletproof from now on. He's taken pictures of the progress and will be giving me a wiring diagram to show what he did.

New ss brake lines on the front in color coordinated blue.

Valve adjustment and new gasket to get rid of the pesky oil seep at the front left corner.

Finally using up Roberts O ring kit, Mike is going to rebuild the carbs but we're saving that for last.

My next thing to look for is what sort of product to clean up all the black painted and plastic parts. Meguiars or Forever Black?

If I get it fixed up soon enough, I might try to do a last minute entry to the Brown County ride, she'll be reliable enough for that now.

Oh yeah, going to get a set of Pirelli Sport Demons to replace my 3 year old Cheng Shins, the CS dont look bad but I'm pretty conservative

(HA NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D SEE ME WRITE THAT:))

...when it comes to tires....

The difference with the clean carbs and squeaky clean electrics is wonderful. Turn signals and dash are bright and don't dim when I sit at a light!

The Eastern Beaver fuse box was a joy to work with, well made and sturdy. The R/R sense wire is wired to one of the extra outputs that is powered when hot so I did not have to splice anything.

The paint came out better that I hoped. It's as smooth as glass, you cant feel the stripe at all. I took off the sissy bar and windscreen.

I'm probably going to put the windscreen back on but I am loath to replace the sissy bar, it just looks so much better without it. I dont even want to put saddle bags on it! I'm looking for some Nelson Riggs sporty saddle bags- those might not look as frumpy as the ones I have now.

I just got back from a late ride. The gauges are so much brighter now its night and day. The only bad thing is I think I blew the fuse on the horns. They are Hiway blasters on a relay, going to check in the morning.

You did nice work there, that bike is looking suuuupppperrrr Sweet.
Did you use a 2K for the paint?

Lovely job sir! That blue is beautiful. Do you have a colour code for it? I'm looking for a blue for my 550 project and that grabs me.

Well done and enjoy the ride.
