DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Resurrecting a fallen Suzuki...

Cooo-oool! I think Rob (azr) posted that earlier this year, and I liked it then. What a wonder some paint and detail work can do. Nice job.
Did i spy a fork seal leaking ever so slightly?

Good eye. They were both weeping slightly, the left more than the right, but seem to have stopped since my longish ride. Maybe they're like Ohlins, they start to cry if sat stationary too long.

Snuck out my Project GS for a quick ride today...

... the muffler must have thought that the ride wasn't quick enough since it departed ship along the way!

Luckily, it didn't sustain much damage on its solo trip down the street... just a few scrapes and some minor road-rash on the ends. It's back on the bike now (for how long?!?) but I have to admit, it sounded REALLY GOOD running just the straight pipe on it. Maybe the fiberglass packing needs to mysteriously disappear at some point. :encouragement:

Years ago i was riding my 1100e when things got suddenly loud.....the baffle fell out of the el cheapo Mac exhaust it came with.

Great pictures Dave, that thing looks awesome!

Thanks Rob, I really dig it too! I'm hoping to have it legally on the road soon... er, the above photos were of a professional rider on a closed course, by the way. Yeah, that's the ticket! :devilish:

The Fourteen is leaving on Thursday so the GS should be ready for a real ride on Friday. :encouragement: Not sure about the muffler however... :p

I would LOVE to have that as my Hooligan back up...

Great Job, looks awesome!

Thanks!

I had been second-guessing my choice of tank decal recently... I liked it a lot at first but a little less every day thereafter, so was forced to do this today:

Better? Worse? Meh?

Ok, that last pic was seriously blurry... Trevor, teach me the ways of taking good iPhone pictures!!! :D

Plan to have it out tomorrow to see the new look in natural light.... and to make sure the muffler is secure now! :p

Lol... It looks good to me buddy! I still need to see it in the flesh though. If it ever warms up I will have to pop by.:)

Red decal on tank doesn't blend with blue on side covers. Looking too HRC. Can you get the tank decal in blue accents?

I agree with the black labels on the tank and mounted straighter too. Might I also suggest black engine case, cylinder and head?

+1 on black lettering, possibly with blue accents. I think it'd look sharper if it didn't bend across the tank indents as well, but that might come across differently up close.

I checked out some blue decals to replace the red... too spendy for my budget! I opted for a red stripe on the side panel to tie it all together.

Anyone know how to get an iPhone to take good pictures? Mine are always really crappy....

the red helps.

I wonder if it would look better with three red stripes or a red then a black and then another red stripe.

i dont see any other blue on the bike other than the ratchet strap holding it down. :)

phones and good images require tons of light. like outdoor light.

you may be able to get it to take better pics with a tripod holding the camera still.

the pics that i take outside with my phones (iphone 5 and a samsung galaxy s4) come out great.

all the ones indoor are grainy or blurry cause there isnt enough light.

I wanted a little blue on the bike so I can wear either my red jacket or blue one and not look unfashionable.

Plus, I was emulating the recent "Million Edition" GSX-R1000 but without that bike's baboon-ass face...
