A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Resurrecting a fallen Suzuki...

You need more blue to make that work. Needs more blue.

Should I say that in a Christopher Walken voice?

Rode Project GS onto the truck scale on the way home from Victoria yesterday, and with a half a tank of fuel it weighed in at 210 kgs (462 lbs). That's a decent savings over the stock dry weight of 243 kgs (535 lbs)... no wonder it feels fast compared to the '82 Katana 1100 I sold earlier this year!

I dig this "adding lightness" thing!

Relocated the front indicators to the headlight mounts tonight... thought that my homemade headlight ears needed something to make them look less, well, homemade!

Shed another couple of milligrams by ditching the aluminum mounts that the indicators were mounted on! This thing is going to float soon!

Where did you get the bands that go around the forks to attach the headlight ears to? Are they SS?

This bike is just like a woman... it just can't decide what to wear! ;)

When it's too chilly to ride, it's time to get the stripes out!

Damn, I like that.
Now I'm having second thoughts about changing mine from white (which it only ended up as because of self-preservation reasons, in heavy traffic).

Very cool bike. I hope mine is as much fun to ride when it's done as yours.

For being a hacked up gs, that actually looks awesome. I dig it

Been some changes since my last update here... been stealing old parts off of the 80 for my 83 GS1100E project and replacing them with new stuff...

... like these Delkevic pipes!

The 83 took the Renthal ultra-low bar so I stuck the factory clip-on set-up from the GSXR1100 front end on...

I didn't want to run a big muffler on the bike so I decided to try just putting a baffle into the collector pipe of the Delkevic... sounds great, and not too loud. Win!

Bought new OEM badges for the side frame covers...

I've admired your bike for quite a while, and it looks good with these improvements, but I've always wanted to say I thought it would look better wit an 8" light on it.

It would, but they're rare and expensive. I've been thinking of the stock rectangular one too, but again they're hard to find in nice shape for a bargain price. My $20 scrapyard special stays for now.

I wondered about what looked like an open header when you first posted that pic.I'd have thought you'd loose a lot of HP that way, guess the 1100 has enough to burn some:eek:

I can relate to the $20.00 light being good. No lunch boxes please......
