A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Aw, crum...Cap. When did you post this one?

Now I have to go for another ride so we don't leave people hanging. Darn you and your precog abilities! And it was a better angle, and just a much better photograph overall. I can't even rag on you for using a 16V liquid-cooled machine either...

Long time ago. Your tag is fine. It's up to us to find a new one.:)
I know where there is another one not too far away...hint, hint

...but you would have to get really creative in your motorcycle placement.

I'm still rooting for Mt. Palomar, or maybe the Gemini. Then there are all the great observatories in Hawaii. Must be plenty of daylight left there

If you're talking about the one on top of the Earth Sciences building. Will a motorcycle fit in the elevator ?:D

Ok sorry for the wait, it was a bit out of my way (but worth it). Here is the tag. A rocket! (yeah!) Can be a fake one, but has to be larger than a model rocket (pro model rockets over 6ft would be acceptable):

Great tag ! But there has to be a story there ? Space museum ?

Yes, Sorry! http://www.sacmuseum.org/

Strategic Air Command is located in Bellevue Nebraska, just south of Omaha. The museum, the Strategic Air and Space Museum, used to be located just off base. In the mid/late 90s the museum was moved near Ashland, roughly half way between Lincoln and Omaha.

It's not quite as large or impressive as the Smithsonian Air and Space museum but it's still very cool. Lots of old bombers and fighters and one of my favorite jets ever, the SR-71! They do restorations there too and there are a number of aircraft in restoration at any given time. Definitely worth checking out if you are every in Nebraska (not much else to see! heh)

Thanks Marc. That looks like it is well worth a visit if I'm ever in the hood.:)

Its Marc's call. But I don't really think it's in the spirit of the tag.

NOT THE TAG SILLY:rolleyes:

Only a joke, I'm not waiting on a call:D:D:D I was on my way home from the Post Office when I heard what the tag was, this is at the end of my street, too hot and need to stay close to momma today or I'd head to the NASA space center in Cleveland.

EDITED THE ORIGINAL POST SO NO-ONE THINKS THE TAG HAS BEEN MET:D

Oops. I've been had.:) Oh well, excuse me while I pry my foot out of my mouth.:D Hope it cools off for you guys. I won't tell you what its like here.

Ooo, NASA stuff would be awesome! Those are the kind of pictures I'm hoping for but if not possible in a reasonable time frame maybe we can relax the requirements a bit. But real big rockets are cool, so go find those! ;) I'd also accept the Space Shuttle or Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipOne or Two.

It's going to be even hotter tomorrow and I'm already showing 99degres F here right now, with high humidity, I was sweating while the bike was moving:eek: Otherwise I'd love to cruise down to NASA Glenn Research Center.
Sun through Tue will be down in the lower 80's again, but calling for scattered and sometimes severe thunder storms, so we'll see how long the tag last.
