A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Awe crap ! I thought I had the tag. The Gastown steam clock, but when I got home and googled it I found it wasn't a restoration but had been built in 1977. I guess I could go back out and take a picture parked by any Harley Davidson.........

And the new post will be a fish hatchery of some sort.

How's it running Sandy?

V

I put about 200km on this afternoon. First decent ride other than a couple of shorter test rides and just about all is well. That little 750 runs kind of like a Swiss watch compared to the 1000. Handles great, makes better power than I thought it would and is actually real happy cruising at 70 - 80mph. Only issue I found is if I pound on it hard and do a sloppy shift at near redline the clutch doesn't hook up quite like should, it takes a sec or 2 to hook up. So I can either be nice to it or fix it. I don't like being nice so I guess I'll have to order some parts. :triumphant:

Nah..... I've met both of them and they don't look at all alike....

Next tag is a gravesite off the beaten path...not your ordinary cemetery where everyone else is dying to get in. And Sandy you can contribute more than once a year too. Good excuse to go exploring different roads with the bike.

Yup, great day to get out exploring on the bike. Except today it's a mountain bike and I don't think they count.

An off the beaten path cemetery. Lots of WWI Vets buried here. Pretty cool.

The battery died when I pulled over to get gas on my way to the next tag (3 years and 30K miles it worked for me and god knows how long to the PO)... Swapping steeds TBA on the next location!

When did you do the FZ1 makeover?

I've been working on it for most of the month. My Dad (Army Veteran and an executive director of a veteran outreach organization) helped me with the overall idea. Best paint job I've ever done. I wanted to make a rolling memorial for all those that serve and sacrificed for our country. Veteran out reach is bad here. One of the most left winged states in the country, so I built this to raise awareness. Not 100% done but it's good enough more info on my build here:

So Next tag... This one will be hard.

A fully functional and OPEN Drive in restaurant!

So correction, any drive in... Sonic made sick last time. A&W is the best IMO

Nearest drive in A&W is about 75 miles from me not sure if it's open year round. I can get A&W at our local college in the union though.

I live about 500ft from a local drive in...just to bad it's closed for the season Or I'd jump on this one

Swenson's in Akron, Ohio. I'm busy tomorrow afternoon (golf) but can be there Tuesday...

An open drive-in eatery. Well it would be open in another hour for lunch. I heard good reviews and will stop back another day for chow. The Brick House in Hooksett, NH. Sometimes this game makes you look for stuff out of your normal routine.

Nice outdoor setup so you don't have to eat in the car either.
