If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

WOW looks like a lot of headache, I am getting a 3.5" 1150 wheel to run a 150 tire and it basically just bolts right in:cool:

No, not really. I had a 17x3.5 wheel (140/70 radial) from an early 600 katana on mine that was basically a bolt in, the 17x4.5 with a 160/60 is even better. I know some scoff at how much better a radial is over a bias but, once you have done the swap you would never go back. Wish i could do it to my 850...

I run a 180/55/17 on mine, using a complete rear clip though :p

K ill have to answer these one at a time. First my wheel and sprocket carrier ar 5 paddle. the carrier and sprocket are off of a katana 600 91 or 92 I believe (I have it all written down somewhere.). Ill have to look up how to do this "string method". To gearhead- its not really a headache just alot of research and questions, but thanks to everyone here it has gone pretty smooth! Only a few hours of actual work and weeks of questions and research!

The last guy who fitted one of those 5 rubber wheels to a 750 needed to use a GS500 Sprocket carrier to move the sprocket closer to the wheel. If you do a search on here you'll find his thread.
Can't remember his name now.

I wonder what his issue was? I'm using a 5 paddle wheel with the stock GSXR carrier with no problem. I had one from a Kat 600 that measured the same as the GSXR carrier.

Here we go... have a read. Could have been a GSXR wheel not Katana. Was a 4.5" for sure, I sold it to him but don't know exactly where it came from just what I was told when I bought it.....

I remember that thread now. I think I even gave a response or two. I still can't figure out why his didn't work like mine and Dee's did. Ours are basically the same as what he was trying to do. I didn't read the entire thread though so I'm sure I'm missing something.

I got everything in, its just now I figured out my axles to short. The sprocket actually doesnt look that far off. I think the wheel was cocked in the picture. Just need to find a longer axle now.

I did it on an 1100, used a 97 600 bandit rear wheel and a GS500 carrier, 1/8 th in washer on the inside of counter shaft sprocket and a 530 chain, stock swingarm , bandit rear caliper with modified support bar

Both Dee and I are using the stock axle. I gained a little length by grinding down the underside of the axle head. You can gain some by grinding the outside of the caliper hanger if you haven't already done it. I'm using a different nut and just cranking down on it hard no Locktite. It's never backed off in thousands of miles.

Got it together! Im thinkin I need to find a lower profile nut for my axle now. Also need to order a new chain as mine is WAY to small. I thought I would be ok as my old sprocket was 47t and the one I have mounted up ow is a 45t but I guess I thought wrong. My sprocket offset isnt to far off, havent measured yet but Im guessing its about 1/8th" off just by looking. Ill get out there sometime and measure it all up.

Obviously the front wheel.....

I honestly bought the bike painted this color! Yours looks alot better though anyways. Where did you get those headlight mounts?

Just messing with you... I don't care :)

Headlight ears were custom made but you can get 41mm ones on Ebay.

Oh ok. My forks are 43mm, cant really find any I like. Maybe ill just pick up something cheap for now until I can make something or find something better. Dan, are you using digital gauges or something? They look so small. I just mounted my stock ones till I figure out what else to rig up. Definetly dont like them though, they look WAY to big and chunky.

It is kinda funny how they have the same paint job though.:p

When I was using a second generation 43mm fork I cut my own out of some aluminum plate. They may not show up great in the picture but they were a little tribal looking. I just used the triple clamps pinch bolts to mount the brackets.
