One of many projects I am working on is the painting of the side covers on my 1983 GS450. The decals were damaged so I removed them. That was not fun. I have started sanding and that is not fun either, but I am determined to get a nice surface. I bead blasted as much as I could, but I am still working with 600 wet sandpaper.
The chromed plastic front pieces actually came clean in the bead blaster. That chromed surface just peeled off with the greatest of ease!
The problem is the original paint. Wow, that is some tough stuff!
Anyway, I am looking for suggestions from those of you that have been through this before and your suggestions, warnings, and advice!
Thanks, Mark
