I have run the same set up for years with 36 cv's and a stage 3 Dynojet kit installed. You keep the rubber velocity stacks that are inside the air box molded into the boots. Which pods do not. Also the hot air from being located behind the cylinders, Plus the plenum effect like you would see in a tunnel ram on any engine. The intake air is being pulled from a dead air space. Side drafts and cross drafts don't effect running conditions like pods can do, and keeps the filter out of any rain water you might run in to. As I have said in an other post Ward Performance ran this set up years back also with 36 cv's and it made more power then with pods. I'm not saying it is any better then any other set up just some thoughts of mine and some others. Also I have a maintenance free (sealed) battery to keep any caustic or nasty fumes from being pulled into the engine because of it's location near the battery. Cheers
