Source for real Mikuni float needles?

Looking for some proper Mikuni float needles. Bought some K&L's and the spring is too weak to hold up the float. Failing finding some original needles, are there any decent quality aftermarket jobbies?

The ones I've bought from Z1 over the years have always been just fine.

Pretty sure Z1 sells K&L brand. I've used them before but not happy that the needle is too weak to support the weight of the float. The OEM parts have a stronger spring which reduces the chance for leakage.

These are genuine, best price I've found. 4 for the price of one from Suzuki. Filters not included.

Good find here! I suspect Mikuni doesn't sell the needle separate.

Are those really genuine Mikuni parts or just an Amazon player trying to pawn them off as original Mikuni. Not really sure. They look very much like the K&L ones.

According to the ad...

"Made by Mikuni
Genuine Mikuni N149/040-2.0-2.8 fit all RS34-40mm carbs
10mm diameter, 17mm tal"

And ads can't ever be wrong or misleading. Not at home to check, but I don't think that Mikuni specifically labeled their floats with the Mikuni emblem so it would be hard to verify if they came outside an official Mikuni labeled bag.

Are the RS floats the same as the BS floats?

I don't know the answer but I'll check the dimensions tonight. The other thing as it relates to float needles is the flow rate. Need to look into that one too.

Parts-n-More are not OEM. I'm pretty sure it's K&L again. I've used them but have had a couple leakers over the years. Seems like you have to bend the tab more then OEM.

I bought them (the Amazon ones). They come individually packed in a Mikuni bag and have the square in a square logo. I suppose they could be counterfeit but if so they went to a lot of trouble.

That's good information. Was waiting to see if anyone has actually purchased them. That would make it a good deal. About the same price as parts-n-more but real Mikuni parts. I always question an online seller without any personal history. Now, are they correct for a BS series carb?

Yes they are. They do not come with filter, o-ring, or clip but are the same as the BS parts. If you look in the Mikuni catalog they don't even acknowledge the existence of BS carbs. AFAIK they were all OEM and parts were left to the OEM to distribute. However there is usually the same part used in the Retail lines as well. The RS carbs use a lot of the same parts.
