A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Does anyone know what type of adhesive is used to hold on the aluminum plate decal covers on the stator and ingintion? If so where can you get it? I have a couple decal plates that I have redone the black lettering on and I would like to reattach them to the covers. I thought about using JB weld but I am worried it is too stiff and would crack with the constant expansion contraction due to repeated heating/cooling. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. :?:

I've used contact adhesive with good results. Spread it thinly on both surfaces, wait till it goes tacky and then making sure it's perfectly aligned, stick the two together. It'll take heat and expansion.

Any name brand in particular? Can I get it at Lowe's or Home Depot?

When I bought replacments a few years back they came from Suzuki with 3M adhesive tape on the back. After 3 years they still are staying on.

You could probably use high temperature silicone. A product I used in the past where heat is involved that worked well was RTV High Temp Silicone, I think it was red.

You can use the JB Weld if you want. Many is the old Triumph primary chain case that was repaired or filled with JB.

The brand I use is "evostik"
Don't know what name it goes under in the USA.

Thanks for your replies. I appreciate your help. :)

3M also makes rear view mirror adhesive. That stuff is like crazy glue X10. Would work awesome. As said before, the badges come with double sided 3M sticky tape.
