A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Can someone tell me if a stator cover off of a 81 GS 750e will fit a 81 GS 1100e. They look to be the same just wondering if anyone has inter changed one.

thanks.

No I am bidding on one.

The heading on the ad states 750 1100 the seller has not gotten back to me yet. The pic looks to be the same. I am hoping that someone out there who owns and 80 or 81 GS 750 could take a couple of measurements for me. I guess an approximate length and height. I took a tumble yesterday and would like to get it up and running soon as possible.

Thanks,

P.S. Thank you to all who have taken the time to view this post.

Andy.

I also checked Bike Bandit and the part numbers are different however they do use the same gasket. Could I assume that the cover from the 750e would fit my 1100e.

Thanks

Andy.

we cant guess at your expense. Ask a suzuki dealer and see what happens

I believe the '81 750 uses a different stator than the '81 1100 so while the 750 cover may look same (it may even be the same casting) and fit your engine casing, your existing stator probably won't fit because of the way the cover is machined inside.

Sandy has it right, but it is a different casting to accommodate the different stator. The casting for the 750 stator will fit only the 750 and the Katana 1000/1100...not the GS1100E or GS1100L.

They (the GS750 and Katanas) have a smaller flywheel and a small stator.
