A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I am completely stumped. I thought it was the wiring, but I am not sure. When I finally started the bike it ran boggy as if the carbs had not been cleaned. I took them completely apart and sprayed every part with carb cleaner then with compressed air. It is the same horrible boggy noise that I have no idea why my bike is like this now. From beginning: I kept on thinking I was fixing a "sooty" problem on my plugs due to a charred spark plug connecting to the coil and inside as well. That lead me to the wire straight from the dyna S that was sliced a little and then decided to solder the 3 wires and still had the sooty spark plug, but my bike ran almost perfect and sounded awesome. So I ended up buying a new dyna S ignition, dyna wires and dyna coils. I statically timed 1-4 and 2-3 correctly. I did not replace any wires like I thought I was going to because when my bike was extremely boggy, I thought it was the carbs and didn't want to touch the wiring. But now my bike idles okay, sounds so bad and boggy no matter how much throttle you give it. If need be I would pay someone to come here and fix my bike because I am just stumped. Once it is fixed I will sell her too. Here is a video of what it sounds like.

There is my other video of when my bike ran so good.

Sounds like the air filters are not there, so it can barely run.
Actually, they aren't there! This is not helping! also sounds like it's running on two cylinders- have you felt pipes? Wasn't this the bike with charred wiring harness that you got a replacement for? It's a beautiful looking bike- you have to sort out this step by step and don't jump from blaming electrics to then blaming the fuel system. Do it logically !

put your air filter(s) back on. either pods if it's jetted or stock box back on there and try again.

The pods were on there before and it still sounded horrible. I did buy a wiring harness, but when I put on a new ignition, I had thought it was timing and nothing else. When I took the pods off there was a little tiny bit of gas on the edges so I thought it was carbs too. So I didn't replace any wires, timed it correctly, completely took apart the carbs and sprayed them nice n clean with carb spray and air blew jets and everything else. So after that it is still sounding horrible. I did take it out for a very short ride. No matter how much throttle or rpm from beginning to end and through every gear, it sounds horribly boggy. Really stumped.

"My sig is my bike. 3 years ago I bought and basically replaced every thing on my bike from piston rings, everything electronically and so forth. After recently buying a new dyna s ignition, dyna wires and dyna coils my bike ran awesome then all of a sudden died" (from previous post)

Help me out here. It was running" awesome" after the dyna (and it had pods already) and then it died? How long did it run? Then, you discovered your harness was a basket case. This still smells like electrics to me.

yea the video is meaningless without pods/filters. Also make sure that the carbs are fully seated in the rubbers so you have no leaks.
