    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I know a lot a you will hate this, but im thinking about Triking my Gs 1000g 82-83. I would use it more often if i did this, Is there any one with some pearls of wisdom regarding this?
Im thinking of an swing-arm conversion. ( so i can change back if ness) What is the ratio of the rear drive sharft, Ie 4.1, 3.1 E.T.C, in relation to a car axle/diff, some other name in USA ?
Any tit bits views would be welcome?

Someone in the UK has converted their GS to a trike already... I can't remember what model or the member name unfortunately but hopefully some searching will bring it out of the woodwork...
 
I won't hate ya. If your equipment doesn't work for you, you've got to make it work or it's useless.

Your bike should have a 3.09 or 2.90 ratio. All U.S. 850G's, 1000G's and early 1100G's had 3.09's. 83 and 84 1100G's had 2.90. If I remember correctly.

The whole trike thing really isn't my cup of tea, but its your bike so do what you want with it. Whatever makes you happy.

One thing I will say...this looks like a real wheelie machine! :eek:

Get a Can Am Spyder instead.
Normal trikes are ludicrously stupidly dangerous, especially tall ones made from a regular motorcycle.

Not a problem, it was cool looking for it. Trikes although an interesting idea don't quite do it for me, need to be able to get off the seat and lean on a bike heading up the local canyons :cool:
