A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
I think it's just the wrong screw. You know how the petcock screws have an insert for a Philips screwdriver right? Yeah... The screw that's leaking doesn't have that while the other screw does and it's not leaking. I need to find that screw! She's really starting to take shape FC, good stuff!
Bugger about the petcock, but is that just the washers maybe?
I need the gauges or else my bike is illegal -_- I'll keeping my inner fender though. I don't want mud all over my seat!Glad you got to ride... ditch that inner fender and the guages
I will ditch my gauges as soon as I get another set of aftermarket ones. I'll let you know!if you are ditching the gauges, send em my way. i want them.
Put it in the lawn mowerI'll havta take your word for it, I haven't actually looked at mine yet, that'll happen soon though when I drain the 6 year old fuel out ready to paint![]()
Put it in the lawn mower.
Electric lawn mower??? I have never heard of such a thing! I must be out of it...Well... mower's electric... hahahhaha so's the whipper snipper
However, six year old fuel ain't gonna be good, so I'll be dumping it responsibly.
Yeah, there's bondo on the entire tank. The guys that did the bodywork said it was necessary because the gas tank had so many high spots...
Basically, it's exactly as it sounds. It's a spot that's higher up than the rest of the tank and not flush. So if you run your hand over the gas tank, you will feel high spots.High Spots? What do you mean exactly?
Nope, this gas tank came from a 1979 Suzuki GS400.is that the stock tank?
That washer disintegrated! I'll go to Lowe's tomorrow.Looks like a washer is missing on that one screw with the head pointing at us. Check it FC and get a new one if need be.
I'll look into it.You could use a bicycle speedo for your gauge. Its tiny, unnoticable, and legal
Doh! The closest Suzuki dealer is almost 30 miles away so I'll just order two new screws with the washers.No. It's a special type that Lowes probably won't have. Go by the local dealer - not more than a couple of dollars at most for both. DAHIK
You are awesome!Tell you what, I'm going by my dealer tomorrow to get a tank bag and a washer for one of my intake boot adjustment screws. I'll see if they have some for you.
