A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello, If anyone has information on which swingarm to use for a replacement on a 85 gs 1150 e so it can accomodate a wider tire, please let me know @ resurrectioncafe@hotmail.com. Thanks for all your help.

what size tire are you trying to accomodate? knowing that would be helpful, also what size rim have you got?
i use a gsxr wheel with a 170 tire on a 1100 swingarm.

if i remember right, fitting the 1150 wheel on my 82 gs1100e was a big pain because it wouldnt center and a lot of spacers were used... quite possibly the 1150 swingarm is narrower than the 1100 (can anyone confirm this?).

but then your 1150 is a monoshock isn't it?
TIME FOR A TWIN SHOCK CONVERSION!

i'd say get yerself a 89-92 gsxr swingarm, but then i probably have no idea what im talking about as im just guessing. i know nudding, always remember that when you read my posts ok?

The problem with 1150 is the linkage is hat the top so you will have to make the some mods to the frame for the linkage and shock. but if you go with a 4.5in wheel it will go in the 1150 swinger .

I used a bandit gsf600s back wheel with a gsx600f sprocket holder (its smaller than the bandit one) milled down by 10mm and one a smaller spacer on the sprocket side and rear caliper bracket wos milled to fit. you will need to go from a 630 chain to a 530 chain and offset your engine sprocket as well. you can make one out of two engine sprockets.
