A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I had to order a new T piece for the carbs and my dealer says that the smaller part replaces the one that is fitted.
Who had to change this part before and can tell me that this one will be okay to use. I have my doubts

That length has to match the spacing between the carburetors. I won't work.

Theres a guy on Ebay that sells aluminum ones that I use on all my carbs. They use separate O-rings not the ones built into the tubes. Might check with Z1 Enterprises, he is selling more & more GS parts

Thanks for the replies. I had this feeling when he showed me this T piece. So this will have to go back. I had a look before on Ebay but couldn't find any T piece for the GS550E

Looks like the large one is fuel tee as it is double sealed on each side and the smaller on is the vent T not for fuel tell your dealer to look again

Those T parts are long gone out of stock. Not sure if the version for the VM22's is the same as the larger bikes use. Z1 sells a T for Kawasaki bikes that looks similar to the original. http://www.z1enterprises.com/ItemDe...ption=Fuel+Pipe+Joint+Kawasaki&item=16046-002

You might want to call them and get some measurements to see if it will interchange. Some others here...http://www.z1enterprises.com/ShopBy...Gaskets,+O-Rings+and+more&category=0102010203

I made a T for my old 550. It was easy enough to do if you have access to a lathe and brazing torch.

The one for the 550 is shorter than the one for the 750/1000. The center carbs are closer together. The vent ones are probably the same as the 750, not completely sure.

Tom, Check out that Z1 link for the KZ900 T. Looks identical to the VM22 version used on the 550.

Your dealer has been hitting the hash pipe again. Find another dealer.
I recently needed one for my GS450 and ordered one from Babbitt's or some big parts provider. Initially said "no longer available", but then it arrived in the mail a week later.

Yes it does. I bet someone at Z1 would give us the dimensions if we asked.

Thanks again for the great advice. I am hoping to hear from Z1 soon as I have e mailed them about the dimensions. The genuine part supplied by my dealer was very expensive but it will go back just like my intake boots . I gave them my engine number and chassisnumber and still they get everything wrong.

Hii Paul
That is the right one anyway. I paid for times that price for the wrong one.
