So... replaced tach seals and cable, as well as fork seals, etc...
During the 6 miles to fuel and then work, the tach stopped working. I went home at lunch, pulled off the cable, it's good. However... the tach drive shaft that mates to the cable is broken off the gear.
I buttoned it up tight so as to not replicate the leak I was "fixing," and obviously need to get a new tach drive gear. I suppose i'll replace the seals also, but... is ther a commonly known cause of reinstalling this gear that may have caused this? Something I should watch out for when I reassemble?
Thanks!
