    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Thanks to Eric Bang

I was having so much trouble getting my GS1100G to run correctly, I pulled and recleaned the carbs twice with no improvement. Eric suggested I was running too lean and needed to up my main jets from 120 to 127.5. He also suggested that I replace the plastic block on the slide needle with four 3mm washers and replace the intake o-rings. Eric sent me the jets, washers and new o-rings. I did as he suggested and now my bike runs like a banshee! Much more power, better acceleration, no stutter off idle and revs to red line like a rocket. Thanks Eric for your help.

Chuck I thought you were the kind to follow the rules at all costs. He broke them and did it more than once. I think we all just need to accept it and move on

SCOT...WHERES YOUR SENSE OF SARCASTIC HUMOR????? He isnt any more a pain in the butt than me or anyone else here. Hit the ignore button or just dont respond is all one really needs to do.

Ouch! I'm sorry I stepped on anybody's toes, but he did help me alot and I appreciated that.

Didnt step on mine..Eric and me are good friends actually..I posted to pizz the anti Erics off..in a sarcastic kinda way.

He is lurking and probably laughing his nutbag off right now.

Nothing wrong with thanking someone who helped you, and he is a helpful person. Chuck just has a chronic muffin deficiency.

Eric was banned from the forum for being a jerk. I'm glad he was able to help you and all but why did you post this?

Because Eric most likely asked him to to try to convince Frank that he is useful & wanted here would be my guess Ed. Ray.

...Aaaaand it's official, the drama has landed. We can count on pages of pointless debate on an old subject because people can't just let it go. You can count on it. You do it to yourselves....

Hey fellows, I didn't know any of this stuff, how could I? I just joined the forum. The simple fact is I like to recognize and thank folks who go out of their way to help me and Eric did help me. Thats it.

So should I start a thread thanking my next door neighbor that let me borrow his truck to go pick up a new project bike?

I agree, Allie. I never posted my opinion, nor do I think it serves any useful purpose to bring up old news once again.
I would like a muffin though. :D

Eric has given me some hard to get parts free without asking, they just showed up in the mail.

He didn't ask me. And I'm pretty sure most of you guys know by now I think Lenin was a Capitalist. He always answered my questions regarding bikes, and amazingly never told me to " use the search engine "
Go figger.....?

None of my business

May the one without sin throw the first stone
