A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I sometimes think of myself as a hot shot getting up to speeds in the low triple digits, but after looking at this, I might as well be a geek on a tricycle.
I can only imagine the thrill of being on one of these bikes going at the speed they're going, but a man's got to know his limitations, and quite frankly I'd be scared schitless.

To prove the total awesomeness of this video/ event......

My girlfriend could take or leave motorcycles......I played this video for her and her eyes were glued the whole time. Every 30 seconds or so saying "omg"....or " holy crap" " that's awesome".
Lol.

That was a fun video! There were some comments about it below the vid, I cut and pasted my favourite.:)

"These guys are f*%king insane!!!!!!!! I don't know how they stay on their seats with their pumpkin sized balls in the way!!!!"

The setup for those bikes must be tricky, to balance travel vs dampening for what looks like really different road conditions over the course. Awesome display of what can be done on 2 wheels!

Very cool video. Those guys have nerves of fricken steel.

Also, I have just added a track day to my bucket list.

I've seen 160-180 in dad's vette. Not going to do it on a motorcycle. Could you imagine how far into someone's house that bike would go if they lost it at that speed?

The IOM TT is the greatest race ever! It is on my "bucket list"

Very awesome video...I'll never go that fast but I do appreciate those who can tolerate/manuever/apply all that it takes to breeze through the town at TT.

Reminds me of myself on the 550 on the way to work lol.. Just kidding. I have some serious respect for these guys to be flying through the country side that fast. Imagine a deer or something popping out on you?

I'm sure a lot of riders have been surprised by trees there over the years.

Hey I know people that had a tree leap out in front of them on a 2 lane road. Heavy rain and wind and the tree fell right across both lanes. Busted radiator, bumper and air dam.

We are all geeks on tricycles.

Speak for yourself.
All these responses and no one says how they would love to go do that. I am turning 54 years old and would be all over one of those bikes if someone else was footing the bill.
Would I run as fast lap times as them in the video of course not but I would have a blast trying. Those bikes are so much more stable at high speeds than you think and the braking ability is 10 times better than an old GS. It doesn't even get fun until you get over 150 mph. Nothing gets my adrenalin flowing like lots of MPH. The more you do it the easier it gets.
That would be quite a workout I might be to old. NAHH :dancing:

A lot of great racers have died running that race

more and more i want to go back to ama hillclimbing .the rush is great im 41 and still like jumping 20ft and more on quads and did some wheelys around corners two on my 7/11 1990gsxr with a 1989 gsxr1100 motor speed as always been in me to cant get enough !!!!!!
