DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I went to the Toronto bike show this weekend. It's the manufacturers show, so not a lot of gawdy, blinged out custom show bikes that you would just sit in the garage and get polished with a diaper. The show was relatively small, but decent. Not too busy either. Checked out all the new plastic fantastic bikes. Out of the big 4 super sports, I think I liked the R1 and Gixxers the most. They fit well and looked decent. The Ninjas are horrible looking and that front end is HUGE! Even on the ZX6 the front end is about a foot in front of the gauges.

Tried a Super Duke :D, Triumph T-100 (because it's like my XS650, and felt VERY nice IMHO), Aprilia, Guzzi, the Benelli Cafe Racer, and the new 3 wheeler from Bombardier. Out of all those fancy go-fast bikes, only one stood out as something that I would actually buy.... a lowly Kawa KLR650. Nothing big or fast, but just felt "right". Been thinking of an enduro kinda bike for a while now, and always thought the KLR or a big XT would be a good fit. Can't go too small, as my drive to work takes the expressway for a number of KMs. Now I just gotta sell something to finance getting one.....

I got down there meself on Saturday afternoon. A bit on the busy side and not anything really outstanding.

I like the Trumpets too as they remind me of our XSs. I'd get one if I had the spare coin. I must be getting really old though 'cause I like the BMW FS800 tourers and the Bandit 1200 and or FJ1300. Big, comfortable and built for distance. I haven't quite made it to really old geezer status as I didn't look at the big Hondas or the Trikes.:D I did like the big tourer from Victory, however.....talk about space age styling:cool:

I was looking forward to sitting on the Urals but couldn't find any. I like the idea of a side hack built like a Panzer tank. I'll be getting one of those when I get too old to ride 2 wheels.

I still get the gigglies when I jump on a Buell and my buds said I developed a bit of a ****eating grin sitting on the 'Max.

An ok show but not as entertaining as Hooters that we hit after for wings, brew and an oggling of the girlies:eek: Well I am not dead.

Cheers all,
Spyug

My next bike will be the newest model (whatever year when I end up getting it) of my beloved 01 Triumph Speed Triple.
