Recently purchased the Trailtech vapor gauge. At the same time I started trying to tune in my CV carbs on my GS450. The needle has been shimmed, I went from the stick 40 pilot to a 45, and the mains are all the way up to 135. Per Pete and some others work I think I still have room to go up on the mains since the original was a 115 main.
Does anyone with this gauge and a temp sensor have their average operating temperature? Mine fluctuates between 245 and 280 ish when it is warm and being run hard. I have no idea where to set the warning stages since I do not have an average baseline before starting my tuning.
The bike has K&N oval filters and the fairly open Emgo shorty mufflers. Any information from those more experienced with the GS450 tuning is greatly appreciated.
