Trim Front Fender

I don't care for the length of my front fender and thought about trimming it a bit. I've been looking for something online that can help show me the best place to trim, but haven't found much. I would like to still be able to ride in rain if necessary, so I don't want to do this. :disturbed:

(Does this even help with water splashing up or is it just serving as more of a fork brace??)

I was thinking more along the lines of this. Would this still retain its functionality?

Both of the items you show (I really hesitate to call them "fenders") are basically just the stock fork brace.

If you want to retain any rain-shedding ability, you will want to ADD to the fender, not remove part of it.

Having it shorter on the back will throw a LOT more crud on the engine and pipes,
shortening the front will increase how much will blow back on you.
