I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

looks good man... def. sounds sturdy enough
i'm still new to the cafe type stuff so i'm really curious cause i gotta do somethin with my front end. how much does it lower the front of the bike? how would that affect handling and such?

Hey mate it wasnt a straight bolt up but close!, same bearings.... but i had to cut the steering stem and lengthen it by 9mm to get it to fit through the frame so it could still be threaded on...

I put a 16mm rod up the middle also...

And drilled 2 5mm holes in the stem an inch up from where the cut was made, and 2 more 5mm holes an inch below and filled them with weld to link the centre rod up more... More solid than a solid thing.

heres a piccy of it in the bike... i will try take a pic for ya as it has to come out yet to paint them stem so it doesn't rust.

Enjoy... :D

Hey ,Skiddy. You didn't say you were doing a little Kat.Looking good old mate. Can't wait to see how it comes together.I haven't done much with my 650 E .Still deciding what to do with the 2 rooted engines I've got.I've got it all stripped ready for the blasters so I think I'll get the rolling frame done and go from there. What are your plans for the back end?? Sorry, but I'm watching how your's turns out before I leap in.Cheers,Simon.:o

I think it only lowered it about an inch or so...

Ahhh guess i will know when i ride it?

Anything has to be better than the soft bouncy bouncy stock ones. :D

Got a pic of cable sleeving in daylight, yes i used red electrical tape underneath  you can't see it too well in pics but in bright sun you can see the red loom underneath.... ooo lala

Drilled the top triple clamp today! got some kdx200 bar clamps on it, and all the bars mounted nice and pretty, most of the loom is now wrapped to with all its flash sleeving etc. will get some piccys of the bar mountings and the stem before i paint them tommorrow.

Stay tuned folks :dancing:

Ya mean raise the rear height? i don't know i dont want to sling too much over the front... especially since the shaftys rear lifts when ya give it gas instead of sinking like a chain drive... could get a wee bit squirrely in the rear

sorry, forgot its a shafty...

Hey!! I've never seen a stretched shafty before. That would be one for the magazines. Or, maybe you could stuff my katana 750 engine in her and convert it to a chain. I have an engine and swingarm you can have for 100.00...ahahahahahhaha. I love building bikes.

Keep ather dude, its lookin good.

Yeah i was thinking that, but the only stretched bikes here are on the drag strip, every road here is perfect twisties... and all the straights have coppers...

So it has to go round corners :D

When I said stretch I didn't mean 8" or 10".
