Been getting a little more riding time on the bike now. Steady highway and she still seems a little "surgey", nothing bad, but not perfect. Thinking I may bump both the pilot jets and the main jets one size, drop the needles down a notch, and see what happens.
I am now starting to really appreciate fuel injection. Sure is easier to fool with an AF map than all this carb tweaking.
For those who have been using a meter to measure air/fuel ratios, how are you installing the probe in the pipe? There are some cheap aftermarket meters (like $30 on ebay) and Denso has a "universal" probe for $15 on Amazon. Maybe no recording capability with this setup, but I think I'd be able to get real-time readings on the road for different throttle conditions at cruise.
