Vibrations are killing my bulbs!

Im using using these turn signals on on my cafe build:

They are mounted directly to the frame via tapped holes with rubber washers between the housing and the frame itself. I keep blowing bulbs, assuming its caused by the vibrations. Im trying to figure out how to rectify this situation and LEDs seems to be the most obvious answer.

I took the bulb out but cant seem to find any markings on it so I can order some online. Anyone have any ideas how to figure out what kind of bulb it is aside from going to Autozone and matching it up with some there (tried).

Also, What style LED bulb woud you put in there to give the best light output?

Im also having the same issue with the rear bulb so I was looking at picking up one of these:

and using double sided tape to keep it in place. Strangely, the red colored version is half the price of the white version so Im gonna try the red. Should be fine in my red housing.

Are you sure it's a vibration issue and not maybe an electrical problem someplace? I'm only asking since the roads around my house are a little rough yet I haven't had any bulb blow due to the vibrations.

Honestly, I didnt even think about an electrical issue. Where should I be looking, and what for?

Hi,

Excess vibration can be caused by out of sync carbs. What is the output of your charging system? Are the bulbs rated for 12-14v? High r/r output can blow bulbs.

I've used some products at superbrightleds.com and liked the result. See: http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?action=DispPage&Page2Disp=%2F1157.htm. Get the high power towers or the 3w and 4w LED bulbs.

You have a volt meter?

Check the voltage. If way high, like high 15s, or 16 or 17 volts then either the R/R has failed or the R/R is not well grounded, and the high voltage will burn out bulbs prematurley (headlights also).

Also: Look for other postings about using LED turnsignals and how a standard stock flasher unit will not work.
