I replaced my stock exhaust on my GS 1000 ST ( european spec) fitted with VM 30 carbs with a V&H 4 into 1.
The bike went fine until you reached 50% of throttle opening.
No way to use the full throttle!
OK, so time to change the main jets from the OEM 97.5 Mikuni size.
Not to worry, I fitted larger main jets from a Dynojet kit I had laying around.
Size 114 equivalent to 107 Mikuni I believe.
This time impossible to run the bike with more than 1/4 throttle opening
OK, let's go leaner than OEM...
I fitted Mikuni 92.5's as 95's were not available locally.
The bike now runs very well thank you
