I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

VM26 carb differences 77-79, pilot air screw o-rings, cycleorings.com

From the Suzuki carb parts fiches for 77-79 gs750b,c,e, &n models:
19-1..o ring b 13295-33010 $2.82
19-2..o ring c&ec 13246-43010 $2.74

both of these are the pilot air screw o-rings. it makes no mention of the N model, which is the code for 1979, and if you look up the separate fiche for a 1979 750, it does not give you any part number or notation for this o-ring, but it shows in the schematic just the same as the 77 or 78 fiche, both of which list 77 and 78 models.

I ordered the cycleorings.com kit that RobertBarr on GSR put together, and after a year, I backed the pilot air screws out to clean the carbs, and the air screw o-ring on two of them rolled over it's recessed area on the pilot air screw and ripped apart as I was unscrewing them. I thought this happened because maybe I did not lubricate the o-ring enough (I used motor oil) on initial install, & the rubber just gripped the carb body too well because it was dry, now I am thinking that also because maybe a it was a slightly different size.

I was placing a Suzuki parts order from partsoutlaw.com for GS650 parts, and figured I had better get some replacement o-rings for the 750 carbs, as the ones that I found locally did not fit well. is when I noticed the two different part numbers for 77 vs 78. I was planning on probably ordering both of them, as I have no idea what year my carbs are off of, and my engine serial number led me to believe that maybe I had a 78 engine in my 77 bike, and bass cliff's carb chart does not include the exact Mikuni OEM number that my carb has, but several that are very close.

has anyone else ever ran into this problem? any idea on why this screw and over and are not even listed on the 79 fiche for the N models, despite being shown in the diagram?
