A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

i finally found a set of vm 26ss and bought them they came with a 102 main but when i was messing with them yesterday i notice that there is not a choke lever there is a choke rail but no lever was wondering if any 1 had some pics i can see to find out what parts i need to find for them to be complete i will also load some pics later so you can see how there are setup rite now not sure if they are cable operated choke or if there are parts missing:confused:

by the way it might be helpful to know they are going on a 77 gs 750

The choke is lever-operated. The lever bits are in the upper center of the fiche here (Part Nos. 50-55, or so). You may need to hunt down these bits on eBay, unless someone here has a spare.

i will take a pic later of what i think is missing the choke lever like i said the rod is there but no lever

the operating lever is between carbs 2 and 3, the choke cable connects on to the same bracket as the throttle cables. see on this pic, the lever and cable connector is just to the left of the throttle return spring and the cable mounting bracket is directly above the lever

that is the part i suspected of being the cable attachment this picture was verry helpful thank you so much for your time:D

So what do yours look like?? Frontal picture will help. If i see what you have I can send you what youll need to convert them. Ive got lots of racks with probably everything that youll need to get them back to manual lever operation. If yours are cable operated youll need the different throttle linkage, the manual lever, a manual fork for number 2 choke plunger, the lever screw and associated hardware. And look at the end of carb 1 (on the rack) and see if theres a threaded hole for the manual lever bolt to screw into.
