A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I just installed the delkavic exhaust on my 79 1000L. Fit perfect! Just had to modify the bracket they sent. Sounds amazing too!

Funny, from the pics it looks chrome not stainless. Any pics of the header?

Yeah, goldening already started.

that's before the 70 miles I put on her yesterday, they look even better now. It sounds very similar to a mid-nineties Fairlady. My favorite car when I was a teen!

Mid 90's fair lady? Was there a remake? Mine was a 69 SRL

Nissan 300z from 80s to 2000. It was called Fairlady Z in Japan. That and the skyline sound very similar. Probably because they are both nissans

I see; this is the only FairLady I was aware of and I was imported as the FairLady to the US Market. Mine was the 1969 SRL311 2000 cc with the 5 speed. Nice about town car, but a bit tiring for freeways compared to a modern car. Of course it would blow the doors off most of the british and italian convertibles of the same era.

I think the Delkevic may fit your bike. I am not certain what the fitment is like for the 750l vs. 1000 but I bought one to shoe horn into my 850. I will have to slot the clamp of the headers to the engine, likely make some mods for the way it mounts in the back. A little more work than the V&H, likely better quality too. I shopped around for a long time for other solutions and it was all another $100-$200 more for a system that is not stainless.

Take a look at this thread, there is talk of it fitting on different bikes there. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?230387-Delkevic-Headers

Cheapest I can find is 379.00 with free shipping for the V+H 12009 on E bay. I work at a dealership and may get it a little cheaper but I will have tax and shipping that's usually the killer.
