If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Had an accident last night. went into my garage, and my 79 GS1000SN is laying on its side! I think one of my dogs jumped on the side of it for some reason, and knocked it over! Needless to say, I was in shock! the fairing, and everything else look fine, but the wind screen busted into a bunch of pieces!
Need a little help to find an aftermarket replacement wind screen. I know there are a few available, but don't remember the companies.
I don't want to have to drill the mounting holes, unless that is all that is available. I know there was a company in England, Australia, and United States, that offered one, but don't know the companies, Thanks for the help! it's appreciated!

I checked the screen on mine and it led me to New Zealand. I'd heard that is where the fairing on my bike came from, must be true!

This company sells the windshield for $145 NZ dollars. Plus shipping it would probably be too much, as well as slow. However, it appears to come pre-drilled at least.:) Plus, mine is a dark smoke colour, if you're not into the whole 'bone stock' thing.;)

Shouldn't be a big deal to drill. Just line it up on the fairing and use duct tape to hold it in place. Then dot the centers of the holes with a fine tip Sharpy.
Drill a small hole and work your way up to the right size to minimize stresses on the new wind screen.

John Kat;
The Zero Gravity is the one I was trying to remember, Thanks for that! and I do remember that they list it has model years 80-81, not 79-80. seems a bit strange. I'll have to call them.

I have used Gustafsson for 1000S screens for years and like them a lot. You do have to drill but it is simple, just buy their drill bit. I have had their colored shields also and they are great. Currently have blue on the viperg.

Ok, thanks for the info, but the question i have is, have any of you purchased any one of these screens for a 79 GS1000SN, and it fit without any problems? The guy at Zero Gravity couldn't give me any info on if it fits a 1979 SN, but it looks correct. just don't want to buy it, and find out it did not fit. and i don't care which one it is, has long has it's the right one! and i really don't want to buy one i have to drill! Thanks again for your input, it's important!

Nobody has answered on weather they have purchased one on the wind screens for a Wes Cooley, and if it fit properly. just want to know to help me make the right decision on which screen to buy. Thanks in advance for the help/information!

The ones I have bought from the UK supplier, have fitted perfectly, though they do come without fixing holes and you have to drill your own. But these are in UK....

Yeah, the UK one is really expensive, and a long ways to ship, and that isn't cheap either! I'm hoping someone has gotten one from Zero Gravity, because it is close to me, and a nice looking unit. I think they just messed up on the years they posted of 80-81 GS1000S, and should have put 79-80. It looks right on their web site.
