DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What tires are you running

Oh boy . . . I guess I'm all alone here. Anyway I recently put a pair of Metzler Lasertecs on my 750.

I was beginning to think I was the alone guy. I run Metz Lasertec as well. That makes two on the planet.

I have Metzler Marathon 880s both front and rear on the 850G. I think they are a great all around tire, best suited for touring. They seem to last pretty well for me. I just replaced the rear. The previous one went 6000 miles.

My new 550 has Chin Shengs. I've haven't ridden the bike much yet, so we'll see.

Interesting about the BT45's.

Unfortunately I bought one for my wifes 1150 and didn't care for it right off the bat.

I had wanted to get a Michelin Macadam 110/16 for the front, but it was backordered till October. Really liked the Michelin 110/16 vs. the 120/16 dicontinued Metzler MEZ2.

Dunlop 591 Harley tire for the 19'' rim. Didn't like the 19'' 501 Arrowmax.

Love the Dunlop 205 17'' rear. Best tire I've tryed since the MEZ2 was available.

If I can get from one summer to the next I'm happy.

I'm on my 2nd set of Continential Road Attacks on both bikes, 03 Bandit12S and 01 CBR929RR. Steering is neutral and they are unaffected by grates, grooves, in the road, etc., handle well in the rain and I'm getting about 7000 miles from a rear before replacement. Traction is excellent and I have leaned both bikes far enough over to wear all of the tread on the sidewalls. At 45+ deg of lean, they are planted like they're glued to the road and still stable and tracking smoothly, so I'll buy them again.

I put the Sport Demons on my 1000 and absolutely love them. It's a different bike (and I thought it handled good before). The 1150 has Metzeler ME330 and ME550's, and I love them, too, but they are no longer made (replaced by the Lazertech, I think). I will go with the Sport Demon's on the 1150 when it's time.
I was considering puting on the Roadriders on my new project. But I might just stick with the Pirellis.... (if it aint broke....).

Bruce,

The Sport Demons are great. You won't get the mileage out of them that you did with the Metzelers but if you're like me you'll gladly trade mileage for peace of mind any time!
