A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Where can I get a 1000S fairing?

Does anyone know who sells an aftermarket version of this fairing? Their website? Thanks

I'm pretty sure airtech has them, but I'm not sure about mounting brackets and such. I do know that www.zerogravity.com has the wind screens in clear and smoke for that model of fairing... I just bought one last fall.

I missed the one on eBay. :( A day late or a dollar short again. Ah, at least I'm consistent. Thanks, I'll keep watching eBay. I think the mounting hardware is going to be even harder to find.

The mounting hardware isn't that much, 2 little tabs at the lower tree and 2 bent pieces of pipe with a little tab that attaches it to the top tree that's all.

By the way, what kind of bike do you want the fairing for? otherwise it could be different.

I'd like the fairing for my '83 1100G. I had an '80 1000S quite a few years ago and recall there wasn't much to the hardware. I think I could fabricate it if I had to. Naturally, I'd prefer not to have to. Time will tell. Thanks.

2 things to be concerned about
Will the headlight fit? as in is it round? and what size?
Also what handlebars do you have?
The S has a superbike type bend

Airtech is the place to get the fairing from. The screen can be made in any color from Gustufson plastics in FL. Five years ago when I did mine the 1000S mounting hardware was still available from Suzuki for $35.00. Almost any handlebar will fit the screen, I do use the superbike bend on my 82 1100G though. You can check the fit on my bike in the 82 gallery, Viper blue and white 1100G custom.

I am looking for the same type faring, but I don't need a new one. Could you send a pic of yours?
