DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ok, now I know that I have asked this in a similar manor b4 but... I wanna know if anyone has used either of theses kits, and which ones to stay away from.

I found these on Fleabay

1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzu...3591673QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
(I saw this one and noticed it does not carry dynojets real or fake name are they any good?)

2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DYNO...7717030QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
(I believe this may be the one that dynojet warns about on their website)

3. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/80-8...2611481QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
(I think this is an acctual dynojet)

Any info on anyone who has used these jets would be helpful.

Depending on just what you plan to accomplish, I would try to stick with genuine Mikuni parts or genuine Dynojet parts.

What mods are you planning?

.

With those mods, your best bet will be a Dynojet Stage 3 kit.

If you happen to get that X-pipe for the starting price (one penny), you might have a deal. If you are getting it because of all the claimed power gains, you might be greatly disappointed.

Regardless of your choice of pods and pipe, you will only see a limited amount of power gain. To get MORE power, you will have to resort to increasing displacement and/or changing the cams. Also remember that many claims of increased power are only comparing PEAK power produced. How much of your riding time is spent at THAT speed? You would be better off looking for something that produces measureable increases in the MID-range, where you spend at least 80% of your riding time.

.

I liked that pipe due to its look, but I am more interested in the all black MAC exhaust. It will look better on my WWII look alike bike.

Dennis Kirk has the best price on the stage three DJ kits.
Which is the kit you need no matter what pipe you go with as long as you're using pods.

Thanks Octain, those were the cheapest. They are on order and will be in next week. I cant wait to try em out.

Don't bother with the X pipe unless you are happy to drop your exhaust for each oil change.

Most of the fake DJ kits are for the Harleys.
What makes you say those are fake?

I now about the pirated kits. I was just wondering how you know that particular seller is selling bad kits.

From looking at their kit's description, and pictures it looks like the pirated kit that DJ warns about. It may not be, but that is why I said I think it is a fake kit. Shoot it may be a real kit and have a bad photo. Plus dont all real DJ kits come with free dyno :-k I dint see that in their description.

ive ordered from star cycle that where i got my kit from it was cheaper the DK had em and they are the real deal DJ kit.

if your gonna do the jet kit pods and exhaust get the V&H its much better then the mac.

get the o-ring kits from cycleorings.com the ones for the carbs and intake boots, get your bowl gaskets from z1enterprises, and get a set of head to carb intake boots.

get a bucket of chem dip for your carbs you will lose some of your coating on #1 and #4 so they wont be as shiney. but do it once do it right

Read the directions, again and again and again.
But seriously, read read read.
When you finish the first carb you'll kick yourself in the butt wondering what the big deal is was.
Very simple but be patient and read before ya touch a tool.
Soak em EACH for at least 24 hours in Berrymans. Sure, 4 days to get em done but you will not regret it.
Clean and correclty built carbs really wake up these old bikes.

and vacuum leaks really makes em run like a honda

just take your time, pre-oil your bowl gaskets that way they will form a better seal and will not leak when you put fuel to em. its an old yet overlooked trick

Carbs were rebuilt over the summer when i first got the bike. and new orings were installed. The exhaust will be last, since now I am having a prob with two slides in my carb(look under tech info for Need Help!!!)
