A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Wiring Harness, msc electrical stuff

Ok, I have an 81 GS750, and I am having some electrical problems. I am (Hopefully) going enough to get me through to winter. Part of my winter wrenching is going to be a full new wiring harness, as the old one is pretty bad. I have lots of corrosion INSIDE the wires (cut a few out to replace things) and I know that it's at least partly to blame. I would buy a new one (haven't ever seen NEW for well), but I think I can also build one, if I can find all the connectors and such. Anyone know a source for connectors that work with existing ones on the bike?

Also, part of my troubleshooting (using the guide) I replaced the RR. The stator passes the tests from the guide, but it's still not charging with my new electrex RR. I still am going through the harness, but it all appears connected/cleaned. Any other ideas on what to check? I'm going to replace the tire to make it roadworthy tonight, and was going to restart the entire charging system troubleshooting guide from the top.

There's a company this side of the pond I've used often,Vehicle Wiring Products, they can supply everything you'd need except original type block connectors. They will export and are inexpensive, reliable and quick. They stock 3.9mm bullet connectors as used by Suzuki.I rewired my 79 550 and just used bullets instead of blocks,a bit fiddlier I know, but I haven't had any problems since.E-mail them at sales@vehicleproducts.co.uk :D

I'm not sure what model it is from? I have a 81 GS750 wiring harness if you want it for cost of postage It is in good usable condition, Calif weather is not as hard on bikes
