i can really get balled up when it comes to wiring. it's not for lack of trying but it's always the low point of any maintenance, mod or rebuild for me. (well, wiring and most recently brakes too for some reason...but i digress.)
the resurrection of my 850 has been picking up steam which means i can't put off doing the wiring any more. i dread this based on experience.
so after laying out the harness in a general way, i started with the wires around the battery then worked my way to the ignition coils. some things went together easily, some not so much and i made a list of loose or unknown wires.
instead of posting my questions here, i just began reading posts that were interesting like 'where do these wires go.' eventually all my questions were answered without even asking and i learned new stuff too like the black sense wire on the honda r/r.
anyway...this is a long way to go to say 'thanks' to the gurus, sages, superstars, longtimers and others who spent a lot of their time answering my questions about wiring. i'm a long way from 'getting it' with electrics but hopefully i can try to follow directions and get my bike wired without the usual pain that goes with electrics. thanks again!
