A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Up here we just add the 2 numbers together to get our temps....ex: 12pm 8+0=8 degrees, 1pm 8+4=12degrees, .....3pm 8+9=17 degrees (balmy)....BTW, can you send me the current real estate listings for Tucson?:)
I'm over 50 so I think I'm eligible for the old age relocation benefits mandated by the new "stimulus package"!!

That is some serious snow !!! I guess one could not live there without a snowblower or a vehicle with a plow......:)

That bank of snow in the pic is over 7 feet high. I've used a snowblower for the last few years. For many years I had the plow truck, but got tired of pushing snow 70 feet back onto the yard to accomodate accumulating storms and then repairing yard damage in the spring. But the job does go a lot quicker with a plow!

One word Snowmobiles, never tried one- look like fun

I had 2 for years but sold both before this winter season:(
Even they get stuck cutting trail in virgin snow deeper than 2 feet in the woods where you can't hold speed....

Saturday.
Was like this all the way from southern Indiania to home.
Here is about 25 miles from home.

Oh, I should also say I was on way home from Florida.

lurch,

We only got 4 inches yesterday. I know, 4 inches too much. I saw the traffic report on Fox 25 on route 3 and they had NO SNOW, NICE! Hope that works its way over here soon.

Where are you in NH?

Man there is no way i could live there. My hat is off to ya'll up in the great white north. Suppose to be 87 here on thursday that should make it in the mid 70's after dark just right for me to take a ride.

I would just like to take a moment to remind you all...even Texans...that Texas is a big state. While some of us can ride comfortably year round, it's not until just not that I can ride comfortably...and I'm not even as far north as Texas gets...

When I'm not riding my GS in the "warm" weather, I'm skiing in northern VT. We picked 25" of new snow over the last couple of days here in East Burke, VT

I know most of you can't relate, but a big Powder Day skiing is as good as riding my 850 through the back roads in CT.

Think Snow!!

Not on the GS this time but did 140 miles (225km) south and west of Denver this morning, Feb. 24, 2009. A beautiful day and a great ride!

RonH,

Very nice website and very very nice collection. Reminds me of living in Colo Springs. Winters were pretty mild there, too and I recall several trips up highway 24 to Cripple Creek and Victorville on my 82 Katana 1000 in the fall. Aspen so yellow and thick you thought the sky was paved with gold coins. Man those were good times.

Thank you. Yes, there is great riding west of Colo Springs and yes, the winters can be fairly mild. As Ghostgs1 mentioned in an earlier post we really could use a little more of the white stuff as the ground is quite dry around here.
