A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This just got dropped in my lap(almost literally). All I know of it at this point is that it's a 35+ year old barn find. Has seen very little road time, only has 3003mi on the clock. No idea of year.... yet. Stay tuned.

I always wanted a GT380 or GT550, mostly because of the cool air scoops over the cooling fins. Don't think I ever even rode either one. Nice score.

Not 100% sure but believe it to be a 73' first year of disc brake and last year of individual carbs, meaning not on a rack. I had a 74 and the carbs were different than yours

Its a 1974 if the tank decal is correct.

You can determine the model year from the VIN.
You may find the Suzuki 2 stroke forum useful: http://www.suzuki2strokes.com

Thanks all for the info and kind words. Who knows when I'll get to this one!?! I have a 650G, 650L chop, & a 425E that all need attention yet. It has no paper or keys, missing both airbox side covers, has a busted up oil tank, and the engine is locked up. Gonna be a project LOL.

Nice bike. I kind'a remembered those were two cycle jobs and the specs posted by jacbc bore that out Thanks. Have fun.

Yeah, I thought they were cool as well. "Ram Air" Like a Pontiac! I just really didn't like 2 stroke street bikes. Passed on several Kawasakis because of that.

I love them, especially now when most people don't have the slightest idea what they are.
Unfortunately they are getting hard to find around here.

I dig the "ram air" scoop also. I'm on the fence on which GT engine I like better. Those or the 750.
A neat little GT 25o pops on CL about every year here - no one seems to want it......

I'll be honest, I love 2-strokes. Reminiscent of my microsprint days. Oh! It was manufactured 4/74, it's precisely 3 yrs older than me.

I put thousands of miles on a GT380. A friend had a 185, and we rode them all over the Southeast on weekends.
