No wrenching (still waiting for a gasket) but got the garage work space cleaned up. New pegboard and better lighting. It's going to make working on the bike a lot easier.

Dissasembled and lubed the scooter clutch cable. It was tight, due to an unwound strand...and being 48 years old...there's a lot of stuff going on under that cover between the grips.

          More of the same

I finished cutting off all the rusted steel yesterday. I took me about 4 hours. Sure isn't much left of it. Today we went with my friend Brian and his his wife to some market looking to buy flea's, and I picked up a pair of new #1750 springs for $20. Sometime during this week I'll pick up the angle iron necessary to make the framework for it.

          Plodding along...

...wired in a shindingen sh538 regulator to the beater bike (donated temporarily? from the Honda silverwing I have kickin around) ....bike now shows ~14.2 volts with the headlight on, so I feel waaay better that I rewound the stator. Ongoing of course, but at least I know progress is forward.

It probably would have been in better shape if I had...

Disassembled rear turn signals mounts, seat grab bar and backrest. Sand blasted everything, fabbed a new luggage rack and powder coated all of it and reassembled.

It's not a bike, but I was able to get one our or old rental projectors from work for free . The power supply was bad, there was a serious short from the ac input to the motherboard and it's been shelved for like two years. I brought it home last night and my roommate helped tear it apart.

They really didn't want anyone servicing this thing... to access the screws to lift the whole thing out of the plastic cradle was under a board. We were able to get everything else disconnected but the RGB ribbons were freakin cemented to the board and the access screws were all underneath it....

We had to tear the entire thing apart but we found the issue. Crappy soldering on the main power in, one had weakened and blown out the solder so it was shorting really badly.

Very carefully putting it back together...

Success!! Not bad for a free projector

What is the ratio on tires?
3 rear for 1 front because it rarely touches down.

                          More of the same

Stripped the axle, took my 4" HF grinder and removed as much rust as I possibly could, then hit it with prep and etch. One more coat of P&E tomorrow evening and it will be almost ready for paint.

Ordered the steel for it today. It should be here this coming up Monday.
