Buell's header fixed!
Also painted the exhaust with VHT super high temp ceramic paint.
Got headers back from ceramic coaters.
Had them coated internally and externally.
A work of art!
Refitting on Saturday.

Today I decided it was time to do some tuning on the 76 CB750A Hondamatic. She always ran way rich and would puff black smoke when I rapped on her a bit. I never gave it much priority and I didn't ride it all that much so It was pushed to the back burner.
I am waiting on a order from Boulevard for part for 2 other bikes and I got an break, so I thought why not tackle the Honda. Colortune showed it was really yellow flame which is of course rich.
I moved the clips up from the center groove to the 2nd from the top and adjusted the pilots first till I got just a flicker of yellow and then went 1/4 turn more out on the pilots. This seemed to even out the pilot circuit real nice. Maybe just an ever so slight hint of yellow sparadically so I am pleased with that.
Moving the needle down also leaned up the mixture at mid range to high revs. Doesn't smoke black anymore, so its about as good as she can be right now. Next will be to throw the gauges on her after I adjust the valves again.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
1978 GS 1000 E, 1979 GS 1000 S, 1973 Yamaha TX 750, 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650B1, 1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing, 1983 CB 650SC Nighthawk, 1972 Honda CB 350K4, 74 Honda CB550
NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.
I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Installed!
Way more effort than taking it off! Def no award for best thought out design!
But I have done and hopefully don't need to do it soon.
Oh and I didn't do the welds - I wish my welding was this good!
My friend that made the Yahweh exhaust kindly helped me with the repair.

Thanx!
Ministry tool! Also serves as a reminder not to flip people off and not to ride too wild!

Ezzz broke...
Driving home from work yesterday, the 300M's left front strut collapsed. I had to limp it home with the front tire smoking a wee bit, but I did make it without having to call a tow truck.
The lower spring plate rusted away from the struts body!

Ties in nicely with your screen name!
Could have happened at high speed cornering, imagine that...

Andre, Not quite yet. I had to do a little shopping to keep the part cost as low as I could. I found a replacement strut, Monroe branded, (they don't make a complete unit for performance suspension) for $46 USD shipped or else it would have been
Obtained a slightly damaged (superficial ) trailer hitch for my Edge. Cost? $0 USD.
My record remains intact!

That is Scary....Lost a front wheel on a 1963 chevy pickup once!
Finished putting the new exhaust on. Hooked up sync tool and started up the old girl for the first time in probably 5 or 6 years. She purrs like a kitten. Let her warm up and then synced the carbs.
Next up on the list is the petcock. It has been leaking. Took it off the tank and popped the cover off. All of the rubber parts are gooey. Could not even get the diaphragm thingy off. It looks like it has a little metal cover with metal tabs on it. Gave up and turned the lights off and went inside. $33.00 for repair kit or $60.00 for new. Whatever...IT really pointless at this time what things cost.
