Yep, 60s Motorola tube radio. My old phone, loaded with music, is laying on top plugged into the phono plug providing tunes... just a garden variety old radio with little value, but its old, cool, and sounds nice.
Its been used during every house project ive ever done, on this and our previous home.
Otherwise its in the garage plugged into a CD player for garage hangouts / cycle work.
I occasionally pull the radio chassis out and blow it off.sigpic

'83 GR650 with an Exon Valdez type oil leak at the cylinder base. Bought this 10,000 mile sleeping beauty that hasn't been registered since '95. I did not know of the leak until I got her up and running with carbs cleaned, a new battery and oil change. Most bolts were easily removed like someone else had done this not too long ago. That might explain the like new oil, filter, cam cover gasket and head gasket I removed. They did not replace the cylinder base gasket. It was way off kilter and smeared with sealant. Apparently a failed attempt to stop the leak?
I actually did this yesterday and I'm waiting for a cool front to come in to start the reassembly process. Besides, I can't find my ring compressors.
Resting in the cool indoors,
Mike Sr.

Re-assembled the carbs in rack for my 1100G, and had a look at the airbox. It was all there but in some disarray.
It's 2 boxes bolted together with a rubber gasket between. The gasket had shrunk and was out of place so outside air could get in. The drain hose was out of place too.
I had to take it all apart and put it back together the right way.
Real messy with years of dirt and oil built up.1982 GS1100G- road bike

New gasoline and vaccum hoses mounted on my GSX750EF.
Troubleshooted my neighbours GSX400FWS -84, bad spark. Battery charging, hoping it will do the trick. The ignition gun(right Word?) flashes but still no spark. Spark plugs has been cleaned in ultrasonic cleaner.

Reassembled the power converter for the camper. (SMPS)
It had a crack that went through two traces for the opto-isolator feedback circuit and a copper pad on one of the legs of a dropping resistor was torn away from the board. That was the fun one to find.

Had the pleasure of working on this beautiful bike. It had dirty carb jets. Cleaned em and it was better but still didn't seem right. Closer inspection revealed #s 1&4 exhaust valves tight and the intake cam retarded 1 tooth very odd. got valves in spec. Re timed the cams and now it's much better. However the stronger engine revealed a steering head wobble under hard acceleration to highway speed, it calmed down at a steady 70mph. put it up on center stand and yup the front needs the stem tightened up some. Will do that tomorrow hope it fixes it but I'm a little worried because it has a different front end on it. Looks to be a 80-81 1100 not sure if that is effecting it.sigpic1982 gs750e 1186 oil cooled engine USD front mono shock rear

Working as intended.
Had to move the wall outwards, make a new top board and reinforce everything to handle the additional weight.
Still need to paint it light gray. Good enough for now.

The stator bug striketh!
Been having issues getting the bike started after going for a ride, and had to bump-start it three times this week. Runs great once it's on. Been leaving it on a tender overnight, so each day it starts great, the battery just has nothing left once I leave the garage.
Put a voltmeter to it today- 12.8V right off the tender (which fades 0.01V every few seconds), 12.2-12.4V at 2500/5000rpm (clearly not charging, right?). Shut off the bike, down to 12.0V and falling with key on.
Time to chase some gremlins!
