    Loving wrenching

I have to say I was a bit nervous about picking up this gs550e project. I've owned a few bikes over the past 10 to 15 years and enjoyed riding every one of them. I've done little things here and there, but never took on a huge project where i bought a bike literally in pieces not knowing where anything really goes. Well i have to say thanks to this site and a few videos on YouTube I've been having the time of my life with this build! Honeslty thinking, after i get this bike running i might have to pick up another so i can do it again! I have learned so much about how motors, carbs, and electrical components work, it's unreal! Never in my life did i ever think I'd be rejetting and shimming the needles in my carbs on my kitchen table!!! Hahaha this really has been a great experience, and hopefully once this bike is put together i can get her tuned and running well, with the help of this community i have no doubts! Thank you again!

Welcome! The sense of accomplishment and confidence you'll gain from doing your own work is second to none. Heading out for an extended trip on an antique motorcycle may seem foolish to many but when you're able to brush off those kind of comments and strike out on your own you truely know what the essence of freedom is really all about.

I identify as a man but according to the label on a box of Stauffers Baked Lasagne I'm actually a family of four
