Nice score. It'll be good to see one (or both) of those old girls running again.

Good Homes
Dave, Dale, enjoy the bikes. It was a pleasure meeting both of you. I know I did the right thing by selling the bikes through GSResources, good people. I'm looking forward to seeing the final products.
Dale, did the trailer pull behind all right? The storm that came up while loading the trailer headed south as you left. Have a safe trip.
As for the toolbox, it's for ice fishing tip-ups and only levitates above cycle seats. I'll have to set it on the shelf now.

Great looking bikes. Congratulations rustybronco.
Nomad,
You sound like a great guy. One most of us would love to hang out with. I'm pretty sure I remember you posting several years ago. It's been about 4 or 5 years.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do for fun. Don't be such a stranger. I mean, you're going to need to keep an eye on these bikes from now on.

Mark (nomad), the trailer pulled just fine behind the 300 and the 10 straps we put on it never loosen one bit, they were as tight as when we put them on it. it may have been over kill but considering you, your wife and your brother were the only owners it ever had, I owe it to you and your wife for the years you had on it together (he bought it from his brother, two days before he and his wife were married).
we arrived in Crandon about 1:10 am, we took our time and only traveled about 45-55 mph, mainly because of the deer (15+), associated critters and the very bad at times ground fog, plus my worrying about getting it back home in one piece didn't help the matter. We've got the time and it is better to be safe than sorry and it is one bike worth keeping that way.
I looked at it this morning, all I can say is the condition is better than I could ever have imagined. under the seat is spotless, no rust in the tank, very close to perfect paint, the list goes on and on...
Mark, it is in good hands...
930 miles into the trip so far, 545 to go.
oh yeah, this post is worthless without pictures...
(i'll post the ones of Mark, his wife, my son, JD and I that we took, as soon as we get home)

It's a nice bike nonetheless. I suppose it's joined the "not currently running" steed.

That's cool, dude. I just got my bike back together today after a little spill a few weeks ago and was able to go on a ride this afternoon. It felt really good to be back on the road. Just couldn't ride very long.
